Honestly, the more I read, the more it stressed me out, and stress, as Murkoff kept emphasising, is bad for the baby. I literally absorbed books, most of them freaked me out, there were devestating stories about pregnancies and babies gone wrong, as well as all the things that can go wrong with you.
It was funny and a page turner Mine was taught by a woman who’s also a yoga instructor and a doula – she’s been to over births and has a very natural approach to pregnancy and labour, pu her aim was ,az remove the fear of childbirth which is exactly what I needed. Hilarious yet informative look at pregnancy from one of Australia’s funniest writers. I was given this book when I was over 30 weeks pregnant and therefore I skimmed everything up to a 30 week chapter before reading the remainder of the book.
The final chapters are well worth a read. You know they’re not real contractions because the cramps stay. Found this book fun to read as it gives a more light hearted take on pregnancy and all the things that go along with it. As did the suggestion that continuing regular exercise was a must!
